There have been a few “tactical” lever guns that have shown up on tumblr, and they have been the subject of both praise and strong hate. I think it’s because many of them are overstated and look like a mashup of random parts. Grizzly Custom Guns has the right idea in my opinion. This is their tactical conversion for lever guns, which is understated, yet all business, and features an integrated laser sight in the mag tube. It’s elegant, not ugly.
